Attached is a letter from Cardinal Health, the manufacturer of the Kangaroo Joey, EPump and Connect enteral feeding pumps and bags. In the letter, you will see that the Kangaroo Joey and the Kangaroo EPump are being discontinued on September 30, 2024.
As many of our clients are Enteral Feeding Clients, and many are using the Kangaroo Joey Feeding pump and bags that go with it, to feed themselves, or their loved ones, access the Ontario ADP Program for the feeding grant. We wanted to give you some information as it is understood.
If you have purchased a Joey Feeding pump over 5 years ago, your pump is now out of warranty, and you are now eligible through ADP to receive a grant to purchase a new pump. You will need take the ADP application to your family doctor to fill out. You will also need a quote from your supplier for a new pump. Your choices are the Kangaroo Connect, Moog Infinity or the new Kangaroo Omni.
If you have purchased a Joey Feeding Pump within the 5 years, your pump is still warranted, and will still be serviced by Cardinal Health until your warranty ends, or there becomes such a time that there are no more parts to repair the pump. If the latter is the case, you should receive a letter from Cardinal Health indicating the fact that your pump is no longer repairable. You can then apply to ADP for a new pump, with the letter, a quote and the application that is filled out by your doctor.

Cardinal Health is also informing customers that there will be a discontinuation of the EPump feeding bags and sets (June 30, 2025) and the Joey feeding bags and sets (September 27, 2027) Up until these respective dates, Cardinal Health are maintaining that they will continue to manufacture the bags for the EPump and the Joey.
After the discontinuation of the manufacture of the EPump and Joey Feeding sets, you should also be given a letter to ADP informing them that your pump is no longer able to feed yourself or your loved one. You can then apply to ADP for a new pump with the letter, a quote and the application filled out by your doctor.
